More Optimism Art Available through Northland Exposure Artists’ Gallery Parkville,MO

I have been busy lately putting together a catalog for my Optimism Art.

You can now order a piece of Optimism Art with the quote of your choice.

You can also order mugs and shirts with optimism art on it.

All of this is available through the Northland Exposure Artists’ Gallery at 110 Main Street in Parkville, MO.

I am so excited about this new venture.

People have been so interested in the Optimism Art that I wanted new methods of providing optimism.

The art has been purchased many times as gifts for a variety of occasions.

If you are looking for a unique holiday gift, birthday gift or just a gift to say I care, optimism art could fit the bill.

It is so much fun to make.

I hope you enjoy seeing it as much I enjoy making it.

We all need a little optimism in our lives.

My Latest Optimism Art

I have been away from my blog for a while.

Let’s see what are my excuses.

I’ve been working on some things for the gallery; the May Newsletter, and setting ups some guidelines for the galleries plein air painting project. The plan is to have gallery artists painting outside the gallery Saturdays in June, July, and August. You should definitely come by and see our artists at work on their artwork.

My son turned 24 on Friday and came home and spent time with us Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Then there was the long holiday weekend when we went to a BBQ competition at Sandstone and spent some time hanging out around a neighbor’s pool.

With all that going on my blog got neglected but I did spend some time working on artwork and created a brand new (I think my favorite so far) Optimism piece. I hope you like it too.

"Hope is the thing with feathers...."

"Hope is the thing with feathers...."

I am also including some pictures of my current display at the Northland Exposure Artists’ Gallery. It includes 3 pieces of my Optimism Art and 3 other pieces.

I hope you like them. They are all available for sale at the gallery.

New Optimism Art?

It is interesting, once you start talking about and acting on optimism you start to see it all around you. Personally I consider myself a realistic or cautious optimist. Optimism does not come naturally to me but if my lifetime so far has taught me one thing it is that no one knows what wonderful things today can bring. Doors close sometimes by choice and sometimes not by choice but there is always something new and exciting waiting if you are open to possibilities.

Four months ago I was working at a job that I loved with a wonderful group of people and in a very few minutes that door was closed due to a cost cutting layoff by the company. It was not my choice but now I am working real hard at being open to other possibilities in my life. I can (and I have) sit and feel sorry for myself; I can build up resentment and hurt for what was done to me (no real point to that, it just makes me miserable); or I can move on, be grateful for what I do have, and work to be the best me I can be.

I watched the Micheal J. Fox special last night,”Adventures of an Incurable Optimist.” and  if he can be optimistic dealing with what he deals with day in and day out, who am I not to be optimistic!

I do not have any new “Optimism Art” today but I am planning to work on a new piece. I just need some help in deciding what the next piece will be.

Help me!

Pick the quote below or supply a new optimism quote you would like to see in my next piece of optimism art.

“Optimist: A man who gets treed by a lion but enjoys the scenery.” ~ Walter Winchell

“Most of the shadows of this life are caused by standing in one’s own sunshine.” ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

“No pessimest ever discovered the secrets of the stars, or sailed to an uncharted land, or opened a new heaven to the human spirit.”

Please leave me a comment and let me know which one I should use and you could also let me know what colors you would like to see in the artwork.

I can’t wait for the feedback!

Thank you so much for your help ahead of time.

Optimism Art: 3rd Installment

This is the 3rd installment of my Optimism Art. I really hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy creating it.

I find creating it helps me be more optimistic and I’m hoping the quotes I have chosen and the artistic presentation of these quotes helps you be more optimistic about your place in the world and the world around you also.

The three pieces of optimism art presented here are actually the first three pieces I did.

Here is another quote to ponder:

“Many of life’s failures are men who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.”

~ Thomas Edison
